From Those You Expect The Least, You Sometimes Get The Most…

Filed under: — The Angry Marketer @ 2:09 am

When I was younger a lot of people didn’t believe that I would be a success…

My peers in school figured I’d never amount to much… my teachers would tell my parents that I was bright, intelligent, unique and that I could become anything I wanted if I only applied myself…

I was sick when I was young, born with heart problems, and I was not able to keep up socially and physically with the kids around me… I tried as hard as I could and in later years blossomed into the success I am today…

Lots of people have challenges in their lives, some let things get in their way towards achieving what they want… others let nothing stop them… they become successes in spite of their situations… because they want it…

The other day I saw a beautiful story on the news… it was a piece by CBS reporter Steve Hartman that was about an autistic young man named Jason McElwain… for years Jason had helped coach his high school basketball team (as the team manager, getting water, towels, etc.)… Then for the last game of the season the basketball coach decided to let Jason “suit up” so he could get a full taste of being on the team…

What happened that night is an incredible, unbelievable, unforgettable story… one that will amaze and inspire, that will awe and amuse… one that will instill in you the truth that success is attainable by anyone… and will leave you with tears in your eyes…

It’s a beautiful story… and Jason is a beautiful kid…

Watch the video of the story below…

PS: Someday I’ll share with you the incredible story of Bill Porter… an amazing inspiration of a man…

Just A Weee Bit…

Filed under: — The Angry Marketer @ 10:48 am

An extraordinarily handsome man decided he had the responsibility to marry the perfect woman so they could produce beautiful children beyond compare.

With that as his mission, he began searching for the perfect woman.

Shortly thereafter, he met a farmer who had three stunningly gorgeous daughters that positively took his breath away. So he explained his mission to the farmer, asking for permission to marry one of them.

The farmer simply replied, “They’re lookin’ to get married, so you came to the right place. Look ‘em over and pick the one you want.”

The man dated the first daughter. The next day the farmer asked for the man’s opinion.

“Well,” said the man, “she’s just a weeeeee bit, not that you can hardly notice… pigeon-toed.”

The farmer nodded and suggested the man date one of the other girls; so the man went out with the second daughter.

The next day, the farmer again asked how things went.

“Well,” the man replied, “she’s just a weeeee bit, not that you can hardly tell… cross-eyed.”

The farmer nodded and suggested he date the third girl to see if things might be better. So he did.

The next morning, the man rushed in exclaiming, “She’s perfect, just perfect. She’s the one I want to marry.”

So they were wed right away.

Months later, the baby was born. When the man visited the nursery, he was horrified; the baby was the ugliest, most pathetic human you can imagine. He rushed to his father-in-law asking how such a thing could happen considering the beauty of the parents.

“Well,” explained the farmer, “She was just a weeeee bit, not that you could hardly tell…pregnant when you met her.”
