I stopped writing and posting to my blog exactly 1 year ago today… and I didn’t write a single word inbetween…

Why?

Lot’s of reasons… I got bored writing the blog… yeah, I didn’t have a ton of posts but it became one of those things where it didn’t excite me to put down my thoughts on some electronic paper for the world to read…

Secondly, I looked at the banality of most blogs… you see blogs can be defined in 3 categories:

1) Used by business to attract traffic to their projects, products, causes, etc… it’s not really about the content or about delivering info to you, it’s about making money and attracting you to what they have to offer…

2) They’re designed to really only get you to click on Adsense ads and make the blogger money… they’re filled with “auto-posts” and crap content that’s there just so they have a presence, the right keywords appear and you make them a few bucks per click…

3) They’re the usual droning-on type blog where the poster talks about their banal, non-existant, non-exciting life… often worse than those long letters you get from family and friends around the holidays where they tell you everything that happened during the past year: how little Billy is really smart but also gets beat up a lot at school and likes to wear his mothers underwear, how Suzy got knocked up while away at cheerleading camp and has now decided to become a lesbian and not shave her pits, how Dad has lowered his golf score dramatically, got a raise and promotion at work and has really gotten into videos of animal husbandry around the world, and how Mom is still a PTA leader, started a new decoupage hobby and is drinking 3 fifths of vodka a day… oh, and the dog, “Spinky,” neutered himself while licking his nether regions…

Yeah, I know, I went too far in the description above… but let’s get real, you’ve gotten letters like that… be honest!

Okay, so why have I decided to post another blog entry one year later… hell, why not…

I have lots to say… sometimes nice, sometimes not… and frankly there’s a lot of “not” coming down the pike because of all the crap and bullshit I see and hear on a daily basis: from what’s going on in the Internet marketing world and the plethora of clowns and con-men that inhabit it, to what’s surrounding us each day in our lives — people, politics, sex, kids, work, play… hell, I could be writing non-stop 24/7 and still not finish spewing out what’s been rattling in my skull…

So, this blog is back — somewhat — it won’t be an everyday thing, althought there may be times when I get into writing jags that will seem that way… it’ll be a “when I fell like it and when I have something to rant about” type of thing… some of it you may like… some of it you’ll hate… either way, I know your psychology and you’ll be attracted to it like flies to a bug zapper…

Trust me… I can already see the gleam in your eyes…
