Life’s A Beach…
Over the past few weeks I’ve been doing quite a bit of research (as well as soul searching) on information I need for several projects I’ve undertaken… while I’m still in the “marketing” biz, I’ve also decided to move towards something new that is much more exciting, attractive and fun for me… an area I feel very comfortable in and doesn’t have the massive amount of “sharks” that the marketing world has (and attracts)…
In doing that research I’ve been checking out quite a few lifecasters and video bloggers… I’ve found some interesting sites filled with creative, funny, engaging people and subjects… along the way I encountered one site that has become a daily visit for me… it’s simplistic in scope but deep down inside it’s much more than what it seems… and it’s a nice place to visit for a few minutes a day, giving you a little time to relax, reflect and get some perspective…
The site is called Beach Walks With Rox at www.beachwalks.tv and it’s a daily “introspective” video blog starring Roxanne Darling and her dog Lexi (along with Secret Cameraman Shane) and shot on the beautiful beaches of Hawaii…
Each day Rox walks along the white sanded beaches, Lexi in tow (and always chasing her ball in the ocean) and imparts a few minutes of retrospection and vision in a calming, soothing, easy to digest way… the sound of the waves lapping against the shore, the beautiful vista’s and the way that Rox shares her words of wisdom all combine to be a really fantastic vlog to watch daily…
So, I thought I’d give Rox a tip-of-the-hat and share her site with everyone else… maybe you too need a few minutes each day to relax and enjoy yourself with a well produced and thoughtful video blog… it’s a nice way to give yourself a little “mini vacation” without leaving your home…
Below is a sample of her daily vlog… enjoy!

PS: My friends have lately been saying that I’m becoming less the “Angry Marketer” and more the “Friendly Marketer”… they think I’m becoming more complacent… hmmm… dunno about that… it may be an illusion or it may be that I’ve discovered something that doesn’t “piss me off” as what usually does… guess they and you will just have to stick around and see what transpires…

Thank you for the lovely link and post Mr. Angry Marketer. I wonder if BW is serving as a tonic? I will probably be walking in your shoes soon though as I have a bunch of marketing-related complaints to discuss on Beach Walks. I think it relates to this bigger notion that we the people are increasingly independent and discovering the myriad of ways that commerce has been based on a parental model. The company as caretaker - slash - controller of our freedoms and happiness. To be continued…
